    Today’s World and Food Safety:

Sustainable Food Initiatives, Sourcing and Organic Growing in Ohio

Join NACE as we team up with HSMAI on April 19th, 2018 in the Oak Grove Cottage at Jorgensen Farms to learn from Val Jorgensen about sustainable food initiatives, sourcing and organic growing in Ohio.

We’re grateful for the land that’s in our care.

Midwestern farmland preservation has been a way of life for 5 generations in the Jorgensen family. Val’s parents shared with her the joy of growing, cooking and eating real food while growing up on the family farm in Michigan.

In 1992, she started her own farm in Ohio to teach her four sons how to garden, care for animals, and explore the natural world. A decade later, in line with a family legacy of service to the land and relationships, she opened the farm to the public, launching Jorgensen Farms in 2002.

Since 2002, Jorgensen Farms have been proud to be one of Columbus' first organic farms. They partner with local restaurants and markets to expand the organic, slow, local food movement in the Midwest. When people eat natural, real food grown in healthy soil, Jorgensen Farms believes they taste and feel the difference.

    Oak Grove

The brand new Oak Grove venue is one of a kind in Central Ohio. Its 40' by 60' Lord and Burnham historical greenhouse offers a magical open-air experience. Just a few steps from the greenhouse is The Cottage and our Main Hall, a comfortable space aglow with candles and lights, complete with heat, air conditioning, and WiFi. Between them, the Open Air Patio and Courtyard catch shade from nearby century-old oak trees and warmth from the complimentary fire pit. Grace Pond, a beautiful backdrop for photography, completes the serene atmosphere.
